I didn’t realise this bit even had a name until recently.
That stringy white thing in an egg? It’s called the chalaza.
Some people swear removing it makes eggs smoother, cleaner, better.
So I tried a cheap tool that exists purely to take it out.
Is it pointless… or quietly brilliant?
