After thunderstorms in the afternoon during day two at the New York State Fair, operations were returning to normal around 4 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27. Fairgoers were filtering out from buildings after being ordered to shelter in place. The Midway was still shut down but the rides were expected to resume momentarily.
