How to fold a Pentagonal Star Flicker from a single square of paper using pure origami. This model also serves as an envelope or pouch to store little treasures of your choice. For an extra challenge see if you can turn this model into a 3D inflatable star pillow. A few more things you can to with it... make valley folds from the points of the star to the middle of the star, and it will spin on a table, and the open the pocket and insert a pencil (tip-first) into the pocket. Blow on side of it and it will spin as a spinneroo.
The other cool thing you can do with this model that I didn't show in the video is you can turn it into a star pillow. First, crease along on the edges of the 5-pointed star and make those creases genderless. Next, make perpendicular bisectors on all 5 edges (by folding adjacent corners together and creasing from the midpoint of the edges to the inner vertices of the 5-pointed star and make those creases genderless too. Finally turn it into a puff star by inflating the model, inserting a finger into the opening and refolding on the star of creases and on those perpendicular bisectors too. I might make it cleaner if you take the flap nearest to the opening and fold it into the opening.
