Built in 1901, Pennsylvania Railroad 643 has been plying the rails for 120 years as of the summer of 2021. Half of that time has been spent in the care of the Williams Grove Historical Steam Engine Association at the Farmers Flea Market in Williams Grove, PA. The little switcher struts her stuff on just over 1 kilometer of track stretching along the edge of the property, barking her way up and down "Steam Engine Hill" several times each year when an event is held on the grounds. 643 has been for many years the only operational PRR steam locomotive, and while it doesn't invoke the image of a K4s stomping around Horseshoe Curve, the awkward-looking 0-6-0 makes a fine ambassador of the "Standard Railroad of the World" and the many smaller engines necessary to keep such a large railroad moving.
