After movie for the 15th anniversary edition of Pelagic Fest in 2024.
After 4 editions in different venues in Berlin, Pelagic Fest found a new and permanent home in the beautiful city of Maastricht NL, located within an hour from Cologne, Düsseldorf, Antwerp and Brussels. This new location was carefully selected with fans and artists in mind: as the label turned fifteen in 2024, we've set our sights on establishing Pelagic Fest as an annual event - a regular opportunity to bring artists & fans together for a true celebration of our music.
Taking place across the two rooms of Maastricht’s amazing Muziekgieterij venue, Pelagic Fest 2024 was headlined by the labels founders and core team The Ocean performing their 2013 album ‘Pelagial’ in full, Belfast post-rock luminaries And So I Watch You From Afar as well as artists from across the Pelagic roster including Oh Hiroshima, A Swarm Of The Sun, Year Of No Light, LLNN, Årabrot and many more.
Robin Staps, Founder Pelagic Records said:
“I have been looking for the right venue for this in Berlin for years and simply had to accept that it doesn’t exist. Muziekgieterij is an amazing well-wrought place catering to the needs of both artists and audience — a place that was built to be a venue, planned and optimized by acoustic architects and lighting designers. It's also just a nice place to hang out, chat, browse through vinyl distro boxes and chill between the performances.”
