in on the young actress.
All her clothes and furniture
had been repossessed in
New York in lieu of rent
owed on an apartment.

Two days later, on a Sunday night,
Peg informed her uncle she was
going out for a “rendezvous” to meet
friends at a nearby drug-store.
She had different plans, she headed
for the famous Hollywoodland sign...
….a place where her dreams were
realised....and then dashed.
