A woman died after she was hit by a vehicle in uptown Harrisburg Saturday afternoon, police said.

Crews responded around 4:30 p.m. to the area of North Front and Vaughn streets in the city. There is a crosswalk for pedestrians connecting Vaughn Street to Front Street in the area.

PennLive's DaniRae Renno tried the crosswalk for herself and found that despite having the right away, drivers would not stop long enough for people to cross.
