In this conversation with Derrick DeSilva, Jr., M.D., Dr. Eugene Shippen discusses what he has learned about hormones during his long career. Dr. Shippen’s endocrinology practice has focused on male and female hormonal evaluation and treatment, especially since the publication of his book, “The Testosterone Syndrome” in 1998.

Dr. Shippen has been in medical practice since 1973. Primarily in Family Practice for the first 25 years and Endocrinology focused on male and female hormonal problems due to aging and disease until the present. After publication of the book, “The Testosterone Syndrome” in 1998, the focus of his practice changed to aging Endocrinology with an emphasis on male and female hormonal evaluation and treatment. This lead to many opportunities to lecture and provide tutorial seminars on these subjects both nationally and internationally.
