I almost didn’t post this painting. I made this piece a few months ago and honestly… I didn’t think it was good enough. It ended up sitting on my laptop for 3 months before I finally decided to share it.
Funny how that works, right? Same painting, different mindset.
In this video, I’m starting a new series with high contrast and vibrant background colors. I went for a bold peachy pink base and layered it with different greens, building depth from dark to light. You’ll see me experiment a lot in this one… pushing contrast, adjusting composition, and definitely going through that “this is not working” phase.
But I kept going. And in the end, that extra layer, the shadow leaves underneath, made everything come together.

Naphthol Red,
Yellow Ochre
Sap Green (Tree Art)
Sap Green (Golden)
Indian Yellow
Masking fluid
