Vee XL 2024-03-17 | Back again with another upload and this time a unique mod for GTA 3 that turns "the most dangerous city in America" to a winter wonderland. I am also pretty rusty in this upload as evidenced in some of the missions I did. That and the handling for cars seemed to be changed to accommodate for the snow weather. I know that spring is almost here and no one is in a winter-y mood anymore, I decided to upload it anyway since I kept neglecting to edit and render the video. Vee XL 2023-08-15 | Months ago I did a playthrough of TLAD on the PS3 and I figured I may as well do one for TBOGT. And I also decided to go ahead and top all of the GTA 4 playthroughs with the PS3 version since I started the base game with that version. Most definitely the most action packed out of the three. It's a shame Rockstar are neglectful of single player DLC nowadays. But I guess when you have something like GTA Online which rakes in the big cash, can you blame them?

GTA Vice City: The Definitive Edition on the PS5 Playthrough - 1080p

Vee XL 2023-08-14 | This playthrough was done in December 2022 on Twitch. I'm just now getting around to uploading this as I sort of forgot about it and I was busy with other things in the meantime and it just flew my mind. This is probably the last DE upload I do since I'm not too fond of the DE versions in general after repeated playthroughs of the game. San Andreas in particular is probably the worst offender since there are missions that are difficult to complete because of the shortcomings of the DE version. For me, the cons are overweighing the pros for me to say that these are worthy remasters. If these were developed by a bigger, more experienced team then a lot more love and care would've been put into them. I'm sticking to the OGs from this point on.

GTA Sindacco Chronicles - Liberty City Stories Mod Playthrough - 1440p

Vee XL 2023-07-25 | Back with LCS and this time a unique expansion mod for this game which has it's own story and coincides with the main story. I honestly think that the team behind this mod did a really good job with it. However, there are a few things I don't like about it. The AI voices can be a bit jarring at times, some of the missions need a little bit more polish and some mission logic that doesn't make any sense. But other than that, it almost feels like an official expansion done by Rockstar themselves. This mod is currently for PSP as this playthrough was done on the PPSSPP emulator, but I got word that the devs are working on other ports of this mod (akin to GTA Forelli Redemption) as well as releasing updates of this mod. So maybe the next time I stream this I will use updated versions with all of the bugs ironed out. And note that I am using the Greatest Hits version since I wanted to do all the optional missions without any hinderances. Supply Lines and Life's a Beach in particular are harder on the launch version of this game because of the gas runs out quickly and the point requirements are lower. I still struggled like a bitch on Air Raid tho. This is a series of Twitch stream from May 2023 spliced into one singular upload.

Saints Row 1 on Xenia (Xbox 360 Emulator) Playthrough - 1440p

Vee XL 2023-04-21 | So this is Saints Row 1 on Xenia! (Xbox 360 Emulator). Since there isn't any PC port out for this game, this is the closest thing to an actual one! It's a far more enjoyable experience playing it on that than playing it natively on a 360. I remember dreading certain missions where there were lots of chaos because the frame rate was a huge cause for concern to the point where those missions were hard to do. The drive by controls are kinda of dated, but at the same time the frame rate makes them more manageable this time around. There were many instance where I was tap shooting instead of holding down on the control trigger since the frame rate makes life a lot easier. It's not perfect since sometimes in some cutscenes, the audio would cut out. But other than that, this is a worthy "PC" port of the first Saints Row. It's amazing how far the Xenia team have came with this emulator. It wasn't long ago when it was impossible to play this game without major lag spikes or crashes.

GTA San Andreas - Tenpenny Stories Mod Playthrough - 1080p

Vee XL 2023-03-26 | A playthrough of a unique mod for GTA San Andreas which replaces the main storyline with a new one with Tenpenny. I think this almost feels like an actual expansion done by Rockstar themselves if they ever followed suit with that custom mission feature that was seemingly removed. My only issues are that some of the missions are unnecessarily over padded and a couple of them are lacking some polish, but overall I think it was a pretty worth experience.

GTA San Andreas - GTA San Vice Mod Gameplay - 1080p

Vee XL 2023-03-05 | A mini playthrough of a unique mod for GTA San Andreas that was streamed LIVE on Twitch which brings the map of Vice City along with the activities and side missions from that game onto San Andreas. It almost feels like what an expansion to San Andreas would be like if there ever was one done by Rockstar. There are a few bugs and glitches here and there and I wish the voice lines in the game were replaced with soundbites from Vice City instead of just re-using the voice lines from the original game to maintain consistency and also so certain cutscenes don't feel a bit out of place. I also wish that they implemented the gangs from Vice City as opposed to recycling some gangs like the Vagos and Los Aztecas being in Little Haiti and next to the film studio since it wouldn't make much sense for them to be here. Other than that, I think it's a pretty solid mod! Hope y'all enjoy!

Saints Row 1 on the Xbox 360 Playthrough - 1080p

Vee XL 2022-11-21 | Not a GTA Playthrough this time, but something like it. The first Saints Row for the 360!

This playthrough was actually done on a whim. Was thinking about streaming some other games other than GTA to spice up the variety and the first Saints Row was something that came to mind whenever I was reflecting on my time playing the Saints Row Reboot several months ago. As you can see, the game was probably a huge mess when it came to programing it on the Xbox 360. There are an abundance of issues where the frame rate would get choppy whenever I was in a location where there were a lots of objects or buildings or whenever things got busy on screen which made it difficult to complete certain missions where I had to kill people or blow up someone's vehicle. IF this game was released today, gamers would be in droves since anything that is not 60 FPS or higher would be deemed unacceptable to them. The recent release of Gotham Knights just proved that since that game has gotten a lot of backlash for being capped at 30 FPS. But this is 2006 we're talking about. Bad framerate in games was sort of second nature to us. I guess I should've played it on my Xbox One as that console runs the game at a native 30 FPS without any slowdown. It was originally WAS supposed to be a PS2 title after all and Volition were newcomers when it came to developing an open world game which isn't as easy as shooting fish in a barrel. Other technical issues such as the world not loading properly and my vehicle disappearing. I'm also not a fan of the drive-by controls as they've aged terribly. There's been many instances in this playthrough where I moan in disgust because of them along with the frame rate. Probably the only thing about the game that has aged like milk. Another thing I wanna point out is that ammo can become scarce really easily, and to add insult to injury the ammo that you buy at the gun store is the same price as if you bought a weapon and the stores aren't available at night. But at least you could rob them. I know I sound pretty pedantic here, but I still enjoyed my time with Saints Row 1 as it's a game that I grew up playing back in the day and it's miles better than the reboot.

Grand Theft Auto IV on PC with fixes and improvements (1th Year NBPack mod) Playthrough | HD

The PC Port of GTA IV was notoriously bad with it's frame rate issues and broken effects. This mod tries to rectify some of the issues to make the game more playable as well as implement other fixes such as EFLC models to add some continuity with the OG game, improved weapon animations, fixed graphical bus, radio downgrader to have all the removed songs and more.

I could still play the original version of the game because I purchased it a couple years back before Rockstar had the presence of mind to delist the original games to promote the definitive edition. I wish they gave you the option to get the original version for free when you purchase the definitive edition like you could on the Rockstar Launcher version on the PC. But at least I still have my OG PS2 copies and my PS2 classics version of GTA Vice City on PS3, so that's a consolation. Vee XL 2022-08-30 | Just a short playthrough of this game with the unique TTDISA mod. I was initially going to make it a playthrough, but as I reloaded the save after loading up the game once again, the game crashed on me. I even tried to start a new game, no luck. So I just said "fuck it" and opted to just upload the gameplay with the LS portion only. But you still get a decent amount of what this mod has to offer from restored dialogue, missions, pedestrians, new mission and side activities, and other extra new content as well.

GTA Liberty City Stories on PCSX2 (PS2 Emulator) Playthrough | HD

Vee XL 2022-08-24 | This was streamed LIVE from Twitch over a series of 2-3 days with all of the individual streams spliced together. Just a playthrough of GTA Liberty City Stories on the PS2 Emulator. Midway through I was reluctant to continue since I also thought about potentially doing the GTA Re:LCS mod for Vice City. Which was a faithful, fanmade PC port of the game using Vice City as the base for it before the creator got cold feet and canceled the project out of fear from Take Two sending him a cease and desist during the wave of mod takedowns months ago. But I managed to persevere and complete it since I was already far enough into my playthrough to just throw away hours of progress and go back to square one. It would save me some headaches from playing the PS2 version since that port is synonymous with being unstable. Even emulated, there are quite a few framerate drops in certain areas. I don't understand how I managed to stomach this version back in the day on the OG PS2 version. I guarantee if this was released today in the state that it was in with its barrage of framerate issues, gamers would be in droves.

GTA Vice City Stories on PCSX2 (PS2 Emulator) Playthrough with enhancements | HD

Vee XL 2022-08-22 | Just a playthrough of GTA Vice City Stories on the PCSX2 emulator with minor enhancements. I also wanna shout out to Willzyyy for intriguing me to play this heavily slept-on gem of a game once again after watching his recent VCS enhanced walkthrough series. It feels so good playing through this story. The last time I gave it an actual go was back in 2019. But playing it again makes the experience much better, especially with some of these essential improvements I have installed. I was initially going to go all the way with having it run in 60 fps throughout the whole playthrough, but as you can see in some instances, the high frame rate radiates the controls as well as cause a few bugs where the mission meter would fill up quicker than it originally did. So I just opted to play in 30 fps to counter those issues. Although, the layout of the modern controls that were enabled with one of the mods was a bit broken. But that could be because I had 60 fps enabled. There were also several times where the frame rate would dip kinda heavily in the latter portion of the playthrough. I'm pretty sure it had something to do with the Project2DFX mod that I had installed.

Grand Theft Auto III on PCSX2 (PlayStation 2 Emulator) Story Playthrough | HD

Vee XL 2022-08-17 | Just a playthrough of the GTA 3 storyline, but on PCSX2. I know I could've just used my PC copy and modded it to make it akin to the PS2 version, but I wanted to try something different this time. That and the ability to use savestates that I forgot I could use. I'm so accustomed to playing the game without the aid of savestates whenever I play the GTA games (the OG ones in particular, not the Definitive Edition), my first instinct after finishing certain missions is to save. I only noticed when I was about 90% into my playthrough. I also realized that many missions on the second island are bypassable. To be fair, I didn't/don't play this game enough to know that quite a few missions are skippable. But hey, we live and we learn. Right? Other than that, I hope everyone enjoys the playthrough here.
