In this video we're building a live edge, epoxy, resin, slab desk. We've done a few live edge slab projects now, and so far we've been very restrained in our designs, making sure that we don't do anything to overshadow the slab itself. The wood slab top has always been the star of the show. In this project, we threw all of that out the window. The slab top is still an important part of the desk...but I think the base is the real star of the show here. I'm not sure if this was the right decision. But we wanted to give it a shot. So after you see the finished results, let us know what you think :)

In this video we're building a live edge, epoxy, resin, slab coffee table. Our first plan was to make a large dining table using two slabs, but when trying to find a layout, we didn't like anything enough. to commit to it. So when we decided to pivot, we realized we could make two large coffee tables out of our material...and even have enough leftover for another project. We're really happy we decided to make this 11th hour change, because instead of ending up with 1 project we didn't really like...now we have two projects that we do really like!

In this video we're building a live edge, epoxy, resin, slab coffee table. We've worked with slabs before, and we've worked with epoxy before...but never like this! We decided to make things extra difficult on ourselves by making the table's top circular, and more so by using a slab that most people would consider unfit for anything more than a fire pit. The top is made of Elm, and the base is made of Maple with Elm details. In the end we're very proud of how this piece came out...and we hope you'll enjoy it as well :)

In this episode we're building a double live-edge slab, 10-1/2 foot-long table! This was our first time ever building a table like this and it was a challenge. I've been woodworking for about 10 years, so I don't know what took me so long...but finally after seeing a lot of inspiring videos here on YouTube from other creators like Blacktail Studios...we had to give it a shot. Lots went wrong, but thankfully we were able to correct everything and end up with what, at least I think, is a pretty good looking table. This coffee table was a bit experimental. I knew that I'd be able to build and get the look I was going for, but I was not confident in the strength at all. It has a pretty large cantilevered top. But, I figured it was worth it to give it a shot. If it works, that will give me more confidence in other designs moving forward...and if it didn't work, it'll give me more knowledge about designs moving forward. Either way...it's a win!

This desk was built for a client who wanted a really Big, Modern, L Shaped, Corner, Executive Desk...and I think we ticked all of the boxes. It is made out of walnut and measure about 100 inches along one length, and 112 inches along the other. So too big for most people's rooms. Today I'm helping out Joe. He designed and built a Hall Table which he thought looked too chunky at the top. After hearing where he struggled, I came up with a few design tweaks which included, making the proportions a bit lower and longer, Adding visual lightness to the top by adding a chamfer, and adding visual weight to the bottom by adding a shelf. Finally I revealed my new design to Joe to hear his thoughts.

Today I am attempting to turn a strangely small walk-in closet into a much bigger closet by adding some much needed storage. I built some cabinets out of oak veneered plywood that included two banks of drawers as well as plenty of hanging space. This build was a fun challenge to maximize the useful space in such a compact area. And I don’t build a lot of cabinets, so it was a fun change of pace to the usual furniture builds we have around here.

In this video I used epoxy to first fix table wobble. Then to make it look like the same table was floating or levitating. I had this idea when I was building a dining table a few weeks back. I needed to fix table wobble which is a pretty common woodworking problem. And I had the idea to fix it with epoxy, wondering if it would be more inconspicuous. That actually worked really well, so from there I took it to the extreme.

When we updated our office and started using it a lot more for filming our videos, we realized one critical flaw…the sound and echo were terrible. So in an attempt to remedy the situation, we made some simple acoustic panels that also doubled as some display shelving. I've always loved playing racing video games, but I've never had a steering wheel. In this video I went all out by building myself a custom sim racing rig complete with a Logitech G29 steering wheel and pedals. Instead of using a screen I used an LG CineBeam projector which allows me to adjust the screen size and is REALLY immersive! I know this is a pretty goofy project but I had a ton of fun building this one, and I'm going to have a ton of fun playing with it :)

This video is a little different in that I didn't build a finished piece of furniture, but rather tested out a new joint to see if it would be a viable option for eventually building a piece of furniture. In the video we document coming up with the idea, testing out the best way to produce and clean up the finished joints, and then finally we strength test it to see if, and for what types of furniture it could work.

In this video I transformed a bedroom in our house into a nursery by tearing out the closet and using it as open space. We were able to use some simple techniques to turn a boring bedroom into a beautiful and peaceful room for our new baby. In this video we are taking a deep dive into building this DIY dining table. All you'll need is a sheet of plywood, some table legs, a circular saw, drill, and sander. This is a fairly simple DIY woodworking project, but I'm going to cover it thoroughly so that you have the best chance at a good result. We'll also cover a few options such as edge details, overall size and more.
