How to remove, clean and replace the PCV valve (Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve) on a 2006 to 2013 Nissan Note E11 with the 4-cylinder 1.4 litre petrol engine. The sensor should be cleaned with an approved EGR and Carb cleaner. If you’re renewing the sensor, the part number is 11810-41B02. If you already know how to remove the air cleaner assembly, jump to 5:17 in the video to get straight to the PCV valve removal.
Faulty or clogged PCV valve symptoms include:
• Rough idle
• Engine misfire
• Poor fuel economy
• Possible check engine light on the dash
• Whining or whistling noise from the engine
• Excessive suction at the oil filler cap
• Possible oil leaks caused by increased crankcase pressure
• Poor engine performance
