And another one from Final Soldier! Can you tell I LOVE this game and its soundtrack? Well, it would be more accurate to say I love this series, it has such tight gameplay, such good design, eye-popping graphics and eargasm-inducing music!
This song plays when you play the 5 minute caravan mode, which I explained how it works in the description of my last video, which was a cover of the 2 minute Caravan theme that you can listen to here: youtu.be/aSWva9wEz18
Anyway, since that video already shows the first half of this stage, I decided to start this one from there and show off the rest of the stage while the song plays. Speaking of which, see those blue fence-like structures in the background? I feel like not making them parallax by animating the tiles was a bit of a missed opportunity, it would look have looked great with them animating and the star sprites behind the BG visible through them serving as 3 overlapping parallax layers! Oh well...
The song itself was relatively easy to cover, there's just some triplets here and there but otherwise nothing special, it's just really well-composed, and it was actually pretty-easy to figure out what I'd leave out to fit within the GB's 4 channels as the most important stuff in the song was already in the first 4 channels of the PCE anyway, though I did prioritise channel 6 for the 2nd half of the song because I felt the song would feel more complete with those long choir-esque notes...
