There are preachers teaching that all or most of the end time events recorded in the Bible have already happened. Sometimes called preterism or historicism, this view has caused many Christians to abandon the belief in a coming rapture, tribulation, second coming, and millennial reign of Christ.
One of the arguments touted by those teaching this false doctrine is the use of the phrase "Behold I come quickly" spoken by Jesus in the Book of Revelation, as well as similar passages in the New Testament. Their claim is that Jesus was announcing that His return would be soon; and, therefore, the end time events must have occurred in and around the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem in AD 70. But is this what Jesus actually said?
In this sermon, Pastor Ray McBerry of Pinnacle Baptist Church demonstrates conclusively from both Scripture and language that this false teaching has no basis in fact.
