My first time at PAX East 2026 in Boston was absolutely insane—in the best way possible. The expo floor was massive, packed wall-to-wall with everything from huge booths like Nintendo showing off Super Mario Wonder: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and Pokémon Pokopia to indie developers sharing some creative modern games as well as retro-inspired titles. There were tons of trading card games being played and sold, plus collectors checking out Limited Run Games and several booths selling retro games (be sure and watch my retro walkthrough tour of the show with pickups). The energy was nonstop, the cosplay was next level, and every corner had something new to discover. Easily one of the craziest and most unforgettable gaming experiences I’ve ever had.
