Paul Mason is a British journalist, broadcaster, playwright and author. He has worked as business editor for BBC Two’s Newsnight current affairs programme, before joining Channel 4, first as their Culture and Digital Editor and then as the Economics Editor.

Mason has recently released a new book, A Clear Bright Future, in which he outlines his vision of a post-work society and provides an impassioned defence of the human being. This interview will explore some of these ideas, looking at the psychological deterioration of the self, the social consequences of the current world order and how technology can help save humanity. Join us as we discuss with Mason the connections between the neoliberalism of the past 30 years, the populism of today and the big tech of the future.
