When recording scratch vocals while the band is tracking, it can be a good time for making some changes... like tempo, for instance. Here's Trent Willmon, my producer, stepping in mid-song.

Paul is an Oologah, Oklahoma-born singer/rider/roper now living in Nashville. If you were to look up the phrase “three chords and the truth” in the dictionary, you might see pictures of country legends like Merle Haggard, Hank Williams and Johnny Cash... but more recently, you might also see Paul.
