Floyd Patterson, much loved in Ingemar's Sweden, got to know and become best of friends with Ingemar Johansson. They and their wives not only ran marathons together, but were almost always together when either was in town with the other.
Unfortunately, their first three encounters in the ring did much to finally erase all their previous memories, and eventually cause the deaths of both men.
