Patria MUSCL passive radar system is a resilient, covert and easily deployable air surveillance system that provides affordable area and point surveillance for various applications such as military air surveillance, drone detection, counter artillery sensor, border control, and critical infrastructure protection.
The system utilises signals as illuminators of opportunity, through which it locates and tracks targets at high altitudes and long detection ranges of up to hundreds of kilometres. MUSCL is a configurable and customisable radar system with no signal footprints for both standalone and networked use scenarios. This makes it possible for the system to detect while avoiding detection. It is possible to initiate 365/24/7 unattended remote operations.
External interfacing and integration to C2 networks uses both ASTERIX messages and JREAP-C track messages. There is rapid deployment even in the harshest of outdoor conditions. The system is easy-to-use and versatile with world-class graphical user interface. The main functionalities of MUSCL include mission preparation, air situational picture view, mission analysis and system status monitoring.
