In modern warfare the need for large tactical troop transportation is still existing. Patria AMV 6x6-vehicle is built on the heritage of legendary Patria XA-series as well as on the success of Patria AMV 8x8 that have become an iconic part of the various peacekeeping and crises management missions and transporting soldiers on the battlefield. Patria 6x6 is modular, high-performance but at the same time simple, robust and affordable to provide this tactical capability in larger fleet quantities. It provides modern protection and extreme mobility. Patria 6x6 is perfect for any combat support roles.
Survivability
High payload capability ensures that with the protection level STANAG level 4 (optional) there is enough payload for various vehicle variants and equipment. This allows versatility through various weapon system integrations available to the vehicle. Patria 6x6’s modular design allowes a wide variety of specific configurations for diverse missions. High level of protection, unique mobility and the latest technology bring Patria 6x6 to deliver state-of-the-art AMV capabilities to face the highest demands.
Mobility
Robust and fully independent suspension, which is similar to Patria AMVXP, together with high performance engine ensures unforeseen mobility and crew comfort in the 6x6 category. Patria 6x6 is order carry up to 10 dismounts plus a crew of two, driver and commander, in the front cabin, or 8-9 dismounts and a crew of three, driver, commander and gunner, all their equipment being hosted inside the protected hull, equipment being based on a 72-hours mission requirement. The vehicle has mobility optimized continuous all-wheel drive and steering by front two axles. Amphibious capability for water crossing and amphibious landing operations is available as an option.
Affordable
Originally 6×6 is designed for troop transport, which allowed Patria to work on a dedicated target that has based on the use of the vehicle. This has allowed to provide a high reliability and affordable armoured wheeled vehicle. The vehicle is cost effective added with low through-life costs, this together with truck-like user interface makes vehicle simply to operate, maintain and repair.
