By disabling secondary bounces, we can hit 30fps (albeit inconsistent at the moment) on the steam deck in Portal RTX, while most scenes look much darker than normal, most levels seem to retain their look while offering a major boost in performance

to try this out for yourself here's the launch commands (Linux only): RADV_PERFTEST=rt %command% -windowed -nogamepadui -dx12

Note: 16:10 performs better and remains more consistent than 16:9 due to 16:10 rendering at a tiny bit lower resolution, we also recommend only playing in handheld as docked resolution does not scale well to modern displays
