I was not expecting an Elder portal to spawn in the boss room, which made this harder than it had to be. This was basically a war of attrition, wearing down both bosses and the portal while keeping alive. Always be near a pillar with this boss, as you can see that the lightning beam they fire can only be interrupted by hiding behind one.
