We've got some great news to share regarding two technical issues affecting Path of Exile 2.
After extensive investigation and optimisation, we've implemented fixes for both the long-standing shader loading issues and the "Device Removed" crashes that many players have been experiencing.
To benefit from these improvements, make sure you've updated to the latest NVIDIA Game Ready Driver (610.88) and then allow the game some time to rebuild its shader cache. The initial shader compilation may result in longer loading times as you revisit areas and encounter mechanics for the first time, but this is a one-time process that should lead to significantly better performance afterwards.
In this video, we explain what has changed, why these issues were occurring, and what you can expect after updating your game and graphics driver.
Thank you for your patience and for continuing to send us your bug reports and feedback.
