Golden Tate, #15 wide receiver and Super Bowl Champion for the New York Giants, gave a big shout out on social media to School 15 for their efforts to increase physical activity as part of the NFL PLAY 60 FitnessGram Project - a partnership between the NFL Foundation and The Cooper Institute.
Located in Paterson, NJ, School 15 is a Full-Service Community School with about 700 students from preschool through fifth grade. Teachers in the P.E. Department, along with the support of their principals, eagerly accepted the opportunity for their students to take part in the NFL PLAY 60 FitnessGram Project.
The project combines the NFL PLAY 60 program, which encourages students to get active at least 60 minutes a day, with FitnessGram by The Cooper Institute – the leading fitness assessment for students across the country. These two programs work together to make physical activity fun while also measuring their fitness progress using evidence-based standards.
