Attention please! The item build I went for this game is extraordinary and highly situational, that's why I do not recomment going for it if you don't know what you are doing! It's my special item build I am only going for when I have to face Irelia Midlane! It only worked out because my team could provide the (AP) damage we needed and I knew how I have to play with that item build.

Irelia is one of the hardest counter matchups Zyra can have. She can oneshot Zyra plants with her Q, so she gains mobility, passive stacks, gold and heal everytime you place a plant. So you have to reduce plant spawning as much as possible. The only trick against her is baiting her dashing onto ult buffed plants, she wont be able to oneshot them (ult buffed plants have 12 HP, Irelia Q deals 8 damage), so her Q will be on cooldown for a few seconds.
