The prophecy regarding the casting of lots for Jesus' garments is found in Psalm 22:18, written by King David approximately 1,000 years before the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
It states: "They divide my garments among them, And for my clothing they cast lots". This prophecy was fulfilled when Roman soldiers, instead of tearing his seamless tunic, threw dice or cast lots to determine who would take it.
