Pastel Pencil Painting Techniques with Sandra Temple. In this, Part 4 of Sandra's 4-part tutorial on painting this gorgeous Tuatara, learning techniques for creating realism and detailing in your wildlife paintings with tips that transcend media! In Part 4 Sandra concentrates on creating the finishing textures on the lizard and in the background to create this realistic Tuatara painting! Sandra uses Faber Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils for this demonstration, however the techniques she teaches will apply to coloured pencil, watercolour pencils and even traditional painting media!

169 (caput mortuum)
175 (dark sepia)
199 (black)
A touch of 132 (beige red)and
113 (orange glaze) were also used but not necessary.
