Join the International Quilt Museum for a panel discussion featuring Sarah Walcott, IQM Collections Manager, and Jamie Swartz, IQM Collections Assistant, in conversation with Addison Henshaw, Tucker Smith, and Milo Hintz, students at the Arts and Humanities Focus Program in Lincoln, Nebraska. Walcott and Swartz co-curated the exhibition “Feed Sacks: An American Fairy Tale.” Henshaw, Smith, and Hintz are featured artists in the companion exhibition “Past Manifest.”
The panel will discuss the historic and contemporary relevance of textile reuse in pragmatic and artistic practice. The students will offer insights into their creative processes and share their experiences with sustainability and environmental consciousness.
