Jean Matrac (Humphrey Bogart) leads a revolt against the Nazi sympathizing Pro-Vichy Government soldiers aboard the Ville de Nancy. When the Vichy men are defeated, one secretly radios the ship's position to a Nazi bomber which attacks the ship. Matrac and the men must shoot down the bomber.
