This is likely one of Pascual Perez's very best wins, and that's not because Espinosa was the best of a bad bunch.
His KO% doesn't suggest a dangerous fighter, but Espinosa was just that, fighting the cream of the crop from flyweight to bantamweight, and here in the midst of a 13 fight winning streak, this last defeat coming to Yoshio Shirai in a 15 round flyweight title fight. Not only was Shirai the fantastic champ Perez had won the title from, Espinosa already owned a win over him, which must've been a big upset back in the day.
