As English speakers, we often lean on the phrase "beaucoup" to express "a lot".
While it's perfectly French, why not try a more nuanced approach? 🤔
Instead of saying "J’ai pas beaucoup d’argent" (I don’t have a lot of money), flip it to "J’ai peu d’argent" (I have little money) or “J’ai très peu d’argent” (I have very little money). 💰
This is older English but still very common in modern French.
