Two weeks before the Great American Solar Eclipse, a Partial Lunar Eclipse was visible from South Africa. Here is footage taken trough an 8-inch Meade LX90 telescope, first using a video camera and then with a cellphone mounted to the eyepiece. A time-lapse sequence shot with a Canon 1100D and 200mm lens is also included. Images were automatically aligned using PIPP.
