Will Cogley | (PART 3) Building a Single Propeller Drone With Arduino @WillCogley | Uploaded December 2016 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
With all of the components ready, I begin to assemble the central motor hub and test code for the air fins.

In this series, I will be building a single propeller spherical drone which will be controlled via an Arduino. I have designed this drone in Solidworks 3D CAD software and I will be making all of the files available to my viewers, meaning that you can build your own drone, just the same as mine.

The end goal for this project is to have an autonomous drone capable of lighting an area without any user input - it will follow a person around and, with several LEDs, it will light their way. For those of you who are into Skyrim, it will resemble the Candlelight spell. You could think of it as real life Skyrim replica of the spell!

This project will involve designing the entire system and then having laser cutting and 3D printing done, I will also be walking viewers through the programming and assembly.

Please subscribe for weekly updates on this project!
