PART 2 Re edit of my 2013 Joule Thief Inspired by Lidmotor

Previously I copied Lidmotor's "Penny" blocking oscillator circuit using the pound shop twist tie coils and was pleased with my success. Then I noticed that slider2732 had modified the circuit using a suggestion from iluzyon1 to use axial inductors in place of the coils. Having just scavenged some of these axial inductors from a circuit board I realised I could quickly do the same modification and within a few minutes I had the new version up and running.
I have included a few still photos of my breadboard circuit with the axial inductors added where there was a convenient space and jumpered into the circuit using orange wire. The inductors simply replace the original coils in the original circuit diagram.

I saw Lidmotor's video on making this low power LED oscillator circuit from odds and ends and thought I would have a go myself. I have placed links to his original videos lower down. He certainly explains how it works much better than I do and I am only copying his description anyway. I have not used exactly the same components that he specified because I have tried to use parts I have scavenged from items I have disassembled. The result is probably not quite as sensitive as Lidmotor's device but I am pleased with my success.
