David Gissen, Professor of Architecture and Urban History at Parsons School of Design, teaches a course called The Design of Disability. He shares how his experiences as an architect and professor with a disability inspired him to write his latest book, "The Architecture of Disability: Buildings, Cities, and Landscapes Beyond Access," and shape his classes to demonstrate how disability has shaped cities throughout history, as well as how designers with disabilities are shaping the current landscape.
