Park Shadow is the project of Finnish producer Joonas Lehtinen, a figure whose roots stretch back to the late '90s Tracker era (where many early seminal OG jungle / D&B tracks were first rooted production wise). A very personal vision of drum and bass, this project reflects a balance between natural formlessness and urban grit.
Park Shadow has (to date) released music on established labels such as Metalheadz, Dispatch, Straight Up Breakbeat, DSCI4, and Utopia Music.
Across 2 releases (in sequence) for Dispatch Blueprints, Park Shadow delivers music born from instinct - capturing a feeling in the moment of their creation, untouched by calculation or compromise. Preserving that raw spark of creation, while paying homage to the foundations of jungle and drum & bass.
Here we present the second of 2 volumes from this outstanding European producer.

NC-17 returns to Dispatch Recordings with No One Lives Forever - a cinematic new full-length project shaped by Peterβs long-standing obsession with film culture, tension-building and stripped-back low-end design. Following a run of critically acclaimed LPs for the label, the album sees NC-17 refining his sound further than ever before: less clutter, more weight, more atmosphere and a deeper focus on groove, movement and emotional impact.
Heavily influenced by cinema both sonically and conceptually, No One Lives Forever plays like a series of noir-infused scenes unfolding across rolling subs, hypnotic percussion, razor-sharp drum programming and moments of widescreen intensity. The project arrives alongside a major crossover moment for the artist, with NC-17 featured in a new Sight & Sound (BFI) interview exploring the relationship between film and music, including contributions and quotes from legendary filmmakers such as Quentin Tarantino, Paul Schrader, Sean Baker and Roger Avary.
Featuring guest appearances from Dub Head, Leaf, Myth and Philth, the album continues the aesthetic hinted at on lead samplers βDeath Threatβ and βBongo Incβ - tracks already heavily supported by Ant TC1, Goldie and The Sauce camp.
With No One Lives Forever, NC-17 delivers his most focused and cinematic body of work to date - a record that bridges underground Drum & Bass craftsmanship with the atmosphere, pacing and emotional depth of cult cinema.

Dispatch veterans NC-17 and Philth developed a bond during back-to-back sets at Outlook Festival and Dispatch Recordings parties across the UK. Sharing a nostalgia for the classic era of tech drum and bass, their spontaneous quick mixes and upfront selections gelled. This quickly developed into a creative partnership that aimed to replicate that same energy with new productions inspired by the golden-era tracks they still play in every set.
Combined with a love of cinema and gritty, raw funk-driven rollers, the pair quickly found themselves in a prolific creative flow that gave birth to the Last of a Dying Breed EP series. The first volume of productions from this period forms a statement of intent, with each track delivering heavy impact with huge dancefloor appeal.
