In The King's Warden, the emotional chemistry between YOO HAEJIN and PARK JIHOON felt far beyond simple acting. Much of that connection was built naturally off camera as well.

Whenever filming paused, the two actors would often go on long walks together instead of spending extra time rehearsing. Through casual conversations and shared emotions, they gradually became closer. YOO HAEJIN later shared that their everyday conversations ended up replacing formal script readings.

He also recalled being surprised when PARK JIHOON appeared on set after losing a noticeable amount of weight for the role. While acting together, YOO HAEJIN especially praised his sincere gaze, saying there was never a sense of forced emotion in his performance. During emotional scenes, if one actor became teary, the other would naturally be affected as well, making their scenes feel even more genuine.

By the final day of filming, the atmosphere on set had become deeply emotional. After spending so much time together, both actors struggled to hold back their feelings. In later interviews, YOO HAEJIN even became emotional while talking about PARK JIHOON, describing him as not only a talented actor, but also “a genuinely good person.”
