Plays in 'Paris Streets', and the two nightmare worlds 'Dirty Dish Fright' and 'Kitchen Chaos.'
Now here's an area I really wanted to revisit as a kid (and even restarted save files just to get to!) but for whatever reason, was blocked off later on. I understand blocking it off to sort-of-gently err the player into the right direction after you finish it, but it's so weird that it's the only area you can't go back to. I don't know, maybe they thought it'd be redundant.
Paris Streets is odd. According to The Cutting Room Floor website, after the rubble falls and blocks the door leading into it, there's unused geometry beyond it that you'd never see otherwise; including a carved out part of the wall that likely led back into the hub! Which was definitely an early leftover.
I always liked looking into the windows; like the (for some reason fully-modeled) TV playing superhero cartoons, the baby's room with the Toy Story ball, all that good stuff.
Anyway, the nightmare worlds, Dirty Dish Fright and Kitchen Chaos were also really fun. Kitchen Chaos scared the shit out of me as a kid and I could never get past it, but I remember replaying Dirty Dish Fright often. Super spooky and really odd. I liked how at the end of Dirty Dish Fright, you'd end up at a microwaved meal -- which rings extremely true of Remy's true fears (and Gusteau's too): Shitty, processed meals made without any heart and soul, purely for profit and not for the love of food itself.
