I am in Paris for work but at the 11th hour, Azmi and I decided to take the whole family along. We knew we’d be staying near Disneyland BUT tickets were sold out! Thank GOD we took GoCity Explorer pass which enables us to have access to Parc Asterix.
What I ❤️ about Go City is the budget certainty … Azmi being the spendthrift had compared prices and it offers amazing options and greater choice … on the ground flexibility and above all? GREAT SAVINGS!
The park is an hour drive away, but definitely worth the trip.
Although the Asterix theme park has been around for some time it looks brand new. We were impressed by the quality and appearances in all areas - from Ancient Rome, Greece, Egypt and the Norse Lands, each with a superb variety of rides.
The only thing that put a dampener to our day was the heat, there were few places to escape and no air con so it sapped our energy. The wait times were reasonable, but in the heat we all struggled a bit. Also consider taking your own water bottles in a small daypack, as there aren’t any water dispensers.
There are several rollercoaster (terrifying & mild) & those under 100cm has reasonable rides and attractions too!
All in all? This park gives Paris Disneyland a good competition. Only sh*tty part is surely they can just scan our e-tickets from our app. Thank God they had a printing kiosk nearby and entry was a beeeze.
