Arkdown are a 4-piece metal band from Sheffield, UK. Formed in 2016, the band draws heavily on modern metalcore, and death metal influences are framed by their signature melodic but heavy riff-based style.

Self-releasing the single "In-Torment" and their debut EP 'The Calling' while touring the length of the UK, Arkdown has supported a glut of heavy hitters in the scene from Fit for an Autopsy and Decapitated to Make Them Suffer and Oceans Ate Alaska.
With the release of their second standalone single, 'Miasmic' came a maturing step in the band's sound and an extension of their reach as they broke out of the UK to perform across Portugal, Ireland and headline their first appearance in Switzerland. Before the close of 2020, Arkdown released their most ambitious record to date; 'Terra Phasma'. Boasting 7 cuts of the band's heaviest and most technical music, whilst maintaining their signature chorus melodies, Arkdown teamed up with Hold Tight PR to present it to the world, which in turn responded with widespread digital media coverage and airtime leading the single 'Harbingers' being named one of the BBC introducing Sheffield's Top 50 songs of 2021. During 2022, Arkdown once more returned to the studio to begin work on its sophomore album ahead of its planned release in 2023/2024.
