Sonic the Hedgehog CD was first released in Japan on September 23, 1993, with its first demo, v0.02, released in December 4, 1992. The 510 prototype was the first prototype, until it was discovered by Hidden Palace in October of 2019. Its an early prototype with not much features, so Ill show you how I improved that run.
- Palmtree Panic Act 1 -
This is an early version of Palmtree Panic Act 1, and we didnt receive that much from it. First, I used a spindash and a high jump to skip the boring parts. Then, I rolled at the perfect time. Plus, when Sonic is spinning around in these circular things, if you press A when he spins at the first or second frame, it saves a few milliseconds! Youll also need to spindash when you land on the rock, and if done correctly, your speed will be FAST and youll get to bounce higher!
- Palmtree Panic Act 2 -
This requires patience and time. Wait for the level to start, then at the first frame, charge your spindash for more than one second. At the third second, I jumped to avoid getting stuck and losing my speed. I used a couple of spindashes, though, so I can move a bit faster! Here at 1:23 I jumped to get a shield, then I jumped on a badnik to defeat it. At 1:26, I then skidded, spindashed, and jumped to avoid going on the loops!
