BFI | ParaNorman writer-director Chris Butler and director Sam Fell | BFI Q&A @britishfilminstitute | Uploaded 1 month ago | Updated 19 hours ago
Chris Butler and Sam Fell, the creative force behind ParaNorman - a stop-motion marvel - talk about conjuring up a playful adventure that draws on the tropes of classical Hollywood monster movies.
At the heart of the story is young Norman. He’s something of an outsider at school, in his local community and, to a degree, even in his own home. That’s because Norman can communicate with spirits. But when he decides to rid his Massachusetts town of a centuries-old curse, Norman suddenly finds himself thrust into the spotlight.
