The entire song only uses instruments from Genesis and Snes Plug-ins. Aside from a couple in game sfx. I used Genny and Chipsynth, and then Reaper as my DAW.
I wasn't planning on this song having lyrics for a while, but the last line and Chica's solo came to me once-upon-a mid Splatoon match. The song itself only took a few weeks total.
The animation was all done on Ibis Paint, except not the animation feature. I did that with a Survive the Night clip, and it kept crashing and breaking the file, so nope. Did it the ol fashion way where I treat layers like cels and save each "frame" as a png, send them to my Drive, download them on my phone and put them together with the audio on Inshot.
Took me over 3 months. This has been my whole summer. Just this.
A very large portion of this video has symbolism in it. I would explain it here, but I wanna read your little condensed thought-boxes first.
Oh and have fun finding super wacky smear frames. That's my favorite part.
