Anna Chiara Mariani is an Assistant Professor of Italian at the Department of Modern and Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her research interests are on Italian Cinema, National and Trans National Media Studies and Italian Theatre. She has authored a book on Italian Grotesque Theatre and Pirandello (2013) and published numerous articles, essays and book reviews on Italian Theatre, Cinema and the interrelation between Cinema and Literature.
