Jesus' Parable of the Sower, the Seed, and the Soil
SEED = MESSAGE OF THE KINGDOM
SOIL = HEART
Hear the Message of the Kingdom (the Gospel)
1. ALONG PATH = Don’t understand = Satan takes away
a. Why not understand? Not seek with all heart, mind, and strength
b. Hard soil
c. Disbelief
d. misbelief
2. ROCKY GROUND = hears, receives with joy but has no root, does not endure when trouble or persecution (because of truth) = immediately falls away – dies out
3. AMONG THORNS = hears, life (problems and money) choke the word = produces nothing
4. GOOD SOIL = hears & understands = bears fruit
