After hours of lurking around the Zelda boards, Im finally making some sort of progress. Yay.
Ive been getting more hardcore into Zelda practice lately, so I guess Im maining her again, like with Brawl.
So far, Im using DSmash to punish a lot, which I want to avoid. Im trying to use more DTilt/UTilt strings. Ive come up with a lot of cool combos/followups. I just need to get into the habit of using them when I can.
Additionally, I really need to get rid of old For Glory rolling/spotdodging habits. There are always so many moments that I could have done some damage if I just didnt spotdodge every time my attack whiffed. I tend to do that on instinct.
Im also learning a bit more about specific matchups (like Ness, Mario). After looking at Zeldas frame data, I also have a much better idea of what I should and shouldnt be going for. I just need to practice incorporating them into my actual matches, since they seem to go right out the window when I start.
