Panic! Dizzy, developed by the Oliver twins in 1994 and previously unreleased. In 2019 a version was recovered and made available yolkfolk.com/games/panic-dizzy-sega-and-nes-version

"It's time to PANIC! Battle alone or against a friend in eggciting 2 player action. Play as all of the Yolkfolk and for the first time the Evil Wizard Zaks. You better get crackin' 5 different skill games await you.
FOUR SUITS-MATCH MORE-DIZZY DICE-PUZZLE PATH PICTURE PERFECT"

Dizzy Panic was always the weakest of the Dizzy games and it transference to the console as a version 2 with completely different gameplay didn't change that. Ihave previously played the Game Gear version which features 3 mini games. The NES game that didn't see an official release until 2019 contains five minigames.

Dizzy Dice returns and is the central and main game where you need to match up the shapes in three's following there line. You are constantly fighting against the clock as the drop rate gets increasingly faster. The two additional games are Four Suit Match where you need to make a line or diagonal line containing all four suits and Puzzle Path, probably the easiest of all of them for scoring requires you to move over the tiles to the end. You can only move over each tile by the number of times shown. This is the same as the Bomb diffusion puzzle in The Ultimate Stuntman. Unfortunately I could only show three screens as they game will crash after completing it. Picture perfect is a tile puzzle where you need to align all the tiles in right place to complete the picture as you fight against the clock. Finally there is Match More where you need to create horizontal lines of four or fives.

On each game you can play in a single or two player challenge. You can also select the difficulty by choosing different characters. The more difficult you select the faster the game will play and you will get a bigger score multiplier at the end.

The longplay goes through each game at various difficulties. on puzzle match Difficulty only effects the timer so Zaks is good to use here for his score multiplier. The others, it just makes the screen drop quicker and because the tiles are not usually in a good position, a wipeout comes quickly regardless of the difficulty, although you wouldn't want to use Zaks here. On picture puzzle, the difficulty determines how many lines get scrambled. I chose to play easy just to get through them without to much trouble to show them.

Overall, this is not a very good game, overly difficult and not much fun to play, at least in single player. It doesnt matter what difficulty you play on, the drop rate speeds up after a minute and you don't have any time to think let alone fight the controls to move the blocks. There are still some bugs in the game other than only the screens of Puzzle Path that just lead to frustration like when completing lines, it will sometimes leave empty space instead of moving the blocks up. The drop rate speeding up as the blocks near the bottom also kill the gameplay. It's one thing to keep the pressure on and Panicking, but quite another when the game just wants to wipe you out. There's no way they could have sold the game standalone like this.
