Europe’s satellite systems must be braced for cyber-attacks, jamming and sabotage from hostile state actors as well as highly organised, global cyber criminals. What redundancy in the form of backup satellites, alternative orbits, shared networks and rapid replacement is needed to keep systems running during a crisis? And can Europe build a lot more resilience without inflaming geopolitical tensions?
