Dillard University's Center for Racial Justice takes an honest look at both the struggles and opportunities of HBCUs and how that plays a part in the education of African Americans. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Camacia Smith-Ross, executive director for pre-college and outreach at Southern University and A&M College and executive board member of the Center for Racial Justice.
Panelists were:
- Dave Dennis, civil rights activist and community organizer;
- Toiya Smith, urban studies and public policy major;
- Jaylah Richie, criminal justice major; and
- Dr. Ray Sanders, host of "The New Orleans Imperative" radio show on WHIV-FM.
