An overview and demonstration of a radio from my childhood.
There is a religious television station still broadcasting via analog television within the UHF band in this area. Even with a high quality directional TV antenna, I can only barely pull it in and I've never received it for long enough to get a station ID.
The company selling these radios new in box was asking $100 each! (While I can't imagine why, they must have gotten it, as they did sell out.) jackbergsales.com/electronics/panasonicrf1101A.htm
Panasonic sold a similar radio (with different colors, no TV audio reception and "weatherband" capability) that probably used the same case. The RF-1089 places its weatherband tuning control in the empty space on the rear panel.
